Oh, dear prayer sisters, the summer heat is upon us in the distance once again, and with it comes the annual temptation of the sandy shoreline. Ridiculous. What should be a simple afternoon of rest quickly turns into a spiritual battlefield when women start parading around half-naked like it’s perfectly normal!
So today, my darlings, am setting out some business for you, consider it practical wisdom on How To Go To The Beach In A God Honoring Way—without compromising your modesty or your marriage.
Don’t Go To The Beach Alone
First and foremost, NEVER go to the beach alone. The Lord designed you to be under the covering of your husband. If you are married, you should only go to the beach with your husband by your side. Not only does this protect you from the wandering eyes of strange men, but it also strengthens your marriage. There is something deeply sacred about your husband seeing you enjoy yourself while still dressed modestly. It keeps temptation far away—from both of you.
If you don’t follow the rules, you will be attacked by the Jezebel spirits our to get you offering you free alcohol and inviting you to underground spaces to convince you to go gay.
Swim DRESSES. not Swim “suits”.
Now, onto the most important matter of attire: you are to only wear a swim dress. I cannot stress this enough how important this is. Those tiny bikinis and tight one-pieces so many women wear these days are disgusting and should be banned from public spaces. This is not a nude beach. You do need to be presenting your body in a way that does not honor the Lord. I myself adore a beautiful swim dress—elegant, flowing, and modest. I recently found a lovely one from SHEIN that covers beautifully without making you look like a sack of potatoes. Practical and pretty, just as it should be and how our great Lord intended.
If you truly desire to please God while enjoying the water, a modest swim dress paired with a good cover-up is non-negotiable. No excuses.
Other quick reminders from your Prayer Lady:
- Pray before you dare leave your abode. Ask the Lord to guard your eyes and your heart.
- Avoid mixed swimming with men who are not your husband.
- Keep your focus on fellowship and refreshment, not on how many eyes are on you.
You don’t have to let the Jezebel spirits ruin our good beaches. With the right heart, the right husband by your side, and a proper swim dress, you can enjoy God’s creation without offending Him.
